Our story
In 2003, Our Sea Turtles Sri Lanka Conservation Project emerged on Mount Lavinia Beach as Colombo's secret haven for sea turtles. Led by Milan Perera and a passionate team, we've championed the protection, rehabilitation, and release of these ancient mariners. Our mission extends beyond conservation; it's about igniting a global commitment to safeguard these majestic creatures against the growing threats they face. Join us in turning the tide for sea turtles, ensuring their survival for generations to come.

Sea turtles, majestic inhabitants of our oceans, traverse vast distances, embodying grace and resilience. With streamlined bodies and ancient instincts, these gentle giants navigate the depths with unparalleled elegance. However, their existence faces myriad threats—from pollution and habitat destruction to illegal poaching and accidental entanglement in fishing gear. Despite these challenges, dedicated conservation efforts strive to protect these endangered creatures, ensuring their survival for generations to come
